Wounded Cross is a four piece traditional doom / traditional metal band from Rugby, UK.
Wounded Cross play original songs with a mix of influences... Rock, metal, and blues to name a few. Songs range from the crushing doom of ‘Cosmic Annihilation’, to the fast-paced rock of ‘Bonecrusher’, with a cover of the Saint Vitus song ‘Dark World’ also thrown in for good measure.

Lyrics are topical, doom-laden, and occasionally a bit political. Uncertain times can be surprisingly inspirational.

Wounded Cross were formed in 2013 by bassist Ian and vocalist Graham. The vision for the band was originally a doom band in the vein of Saint Vitus and Black Sabbath... but over time more rock influences seeped into the mix. Guitarist Tommy and drummer Paul joined the band shortly after, adding their hard rock and metal influences.
